Accordingly, trade with China would likely become more important, according to him.,“As most Western countries have agreed on the 'One China Principle', it is hard to see how they can persist in promoting Taiwan’s interests steadfastly at the expense of their relationship with China,” Dr. Victor Teo said.,A row between London and Beijing would not affect anything in the region at all, Dr. Chang Ching asserted, adding:,“After all, Beijing is very near and London is too remote."。调研显示，截至2019年底，全区60周岁以上老年人口10.7万人，占全区户籍人口总数的22.83%，空巢老人占老年人口比重为48.23%，养老服务体系建设任务十分艰巨和迫切。 针对存在的养老机构总体规模小、养老服务队伍不稳定、市场运行机制尚未形成等问题，调研组在调研报告中对区政府提出了工作建议：要加大对相关法律法规的宣传力度，营造良好的社会养老服务氛围；切实加强领导，为全区养老服务体系建设提供有力保障；不断加大投入和政策扶持，加快建设适应不同群体老人需求的社会养老服务体系。这些建议得到了连山区政府的高度重视并转交相关部门研究落实。 精准发力解难题 2021年年初，连山区人大常委会在谋划全年工作时，坚持问题导向，将听取和审议区政府养老服务体系建设工作情况列为常委会重要监督议题。2021年8月底成立了专题调研组，有代表性地选择了调研点位。调研组首先赴盘锦市双台子区社会福利院、社区养老服务中心和辽河康养服务中心进行学习考察，随后，有针对性地调研了连山区农民新村老年公寓、山神庙子乡和沙河营乡中心敬老院、化工街道仁爱老年护理院、光明小区居家养老服务中心等地，认真听取一线护理人员、机构负责人、入住老年人和相关部门的意见建议。经过认真研究分析，形成了专题调研报告，为常委会听取和审议区政府专项工作报告提供了有力支撑。 在连山区八届人大第三十七次常委会会议上，听取和审议了连山区政府关于养老服务体系建设情况的报告。
二 | 常委会委员就着力解决制约养老事业和养老产业发展的瓶颈问题提出了意见和建议，经常委会会议通过后形成审议意见4条：加强规范化建设，加快养老服务机构改革步伐；积极争取省市优惠政策，切实推进社区居家养老服务；加强养老服务人才队伍建设，为社会养老服务体系建设打牢基础；加大扶持力度，推动社会力量兴办中高端养老服务机构。 集中督办提质效 为确保审议意见落地落实，近两年来，连山区人大常委会每年都将养老服务类建议纳入常委会分管领导重点领衔督办件，做到“事事有监督、件件有回音”。通过实地调研、视察、听取专项工作报告等形式，对审议意见落实情况进行监督问效。
三 | 在化工街道盛化社区日间照料室，老人们幸福和感激之情溢于言表，热情地向视察组成员介绍日间照料室的服务功能和作用，包括日间照料、休闲娱乐、老年餐桌、学习教育等各种服务。
四 | 民有所呼，我有所应。一件件养老方面民生实事的落细落实，让越来越多的老年人感受到了晚年的幸福。
五 | 在人大的持续监督下，政府更加重视养老保障和服务体系建设，已初步建立起以政府为主导、社会力量积极参与的社会养老服务体系建设基本框架，逐步实现“兜底有保障、中端有市场、高端有选择”的养老服务供给格局。
六 | 连山区率先在全市实行医养结合试点两家，并在两家机构设立了辐射街道社区的助餐、助浴、助医、临终关怀等项服务，社会效果良好。化工街道社区卫生服务中心——辽宁福禄健康产业集团医疗养老结合改扩建项目一期工程于2021年4月开工，2023年8月正式启用，养老床位总计290张，致力于建设“日间照料、长期照护、专业医护”三位一体的综合医疗养老护理机构，满足医疗、康复、养老不同服务群体的多层次健康需求。截至目前，连山区新增10家养老机构已完成登记备案，养老服务主体日趋多元化，养老服务质量显著提高。 今后，连山区人大常委会将继续坚持一抓到底的工作作风，多角度、多方式进行跟踪监督，以更好地满足老年人多样化多层次的养老服务需求，切实增强老年人的获得感、幸福感、安全感。
